If you’ve studied wine or hospitality, odds are you already have this book on your shelf. This best-seller by Karen MacNeil is used and recommended by every top wine school, hospitality management school, wine diploma program, and even the Court of Master Sommeliers in the U.S. The Wine Bible grounds the reader in the fundamentals of wine while layering in amusing anecdotes, interesting facts, important definitions, maps, and more. We had to throw in at least one tasting journal. Having a record of the wines you’ve tasted and what you liked or didn’t like about each is a great way to inspire further exploration. Each page includes multiple choice sections for things like color, color clarity, aroma intensity, and more. The World Atlas of Wine (8th Edition) by Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson

The last must-have wine book on our list is another one by Jancis Robinson. Co-authored with Hugh Johnson, the solo author for all editions published before 2004, The World Atlas of Wine (8th Edition) is a 416-page encyclopedia of wines from every corner of the world.
