Here at Coravin, we can’t contain our excitement around sparkling wine. It might have something to do with Coravin Sparkling coming in late summer 2021. Being able to preserve bottles of sparkling wine for 2 weeks opens up all kinds of opportunities – a glass of sparkling on Monday, a mimosa on Saturday, a glass to celebrate a big win on Wednesday, then finishing the bottle with a cocktail on Friday. The possibilities are endless.

Bubbly wine cocktail recipes
We kick things off with our Mimosa recipe – we call it Mimosa with a Twist. This recipe takes things up a notch with a shot of vodka. Strip out the vodka and you have a classic Mimosa.
3 oz. orange juice
1 oz. vodka
Optional: orange slice or twist for garnish
Add orange juice and vodka to a champagne flute.
Top with Prosecco until the glass is nearly full.
Enjoy with a slice of orange or a decorative orange twist.
Next up we have a gin and sparkling rosé-based cocktail, Gin Ne Sais Quoi, by our friend Justine of @heyjayrose. This sweet and citrusy wine cocktail is perfect for backyard barbecues, poolside parties, or any time your palate is craving something fresh.
1 oz. gin
1 oz. lemon juice
1 oz. cucumber basil cardamom simple syrup
3 oz. brut rosé
Optional: sliced cucumber or rose petals for garnish
Combine gin, syrup, and lemon juice in a cocktail shaker.
Fill the shaker with ice cubes. Cover and shake vigorously until well chilled.
Strain into a coupe. Top with brut rosé and garnish with cucumber slices and dried rose petals.
Serving tips for wine cocktails
Presentation matters when it comes to cocktails, so we recommend taking those optional garnishes seriously. A little cucumber slice or orange twist goes a long way in making each sip feel special. Here are some ideas for jazzing up your wine cocktails:
Stock up on garnishes: Keep dried flower petals, candied dry fruits, and frozen berries on hand for garnishes. Other great garnishes include herbs, sliced citrus fruits, and citrus peels. Having skewers on hand will help make garnishing extra fun.
Choose the right glassware: We love the look of a cocktail filled to the brim. Select the glass with just enough space for your cocktail and ice (if using). Up the fancy factor by opting for a coupe, champagne flute, or decorative glass.
Ice cubes: Depending on the beverage, you might want crushed ice, standard cubes, or a large ice cube. If you want your ice to melt slower, try a large ice cube or sphere. Another option would be adding frozen fruit that doubles as a snack when your cocktail is gone.
Perfect the drizzle and salt or sugar rims: For more dessert-like cocktails, perfect your decorative chocolate drizzle. How to: Tilt and turn a glass to drizzle chocolate syrup on the inside of the glass creating a striped pattern. Another tasty decorative touch is a salt or sugar rim. Add spices like cinnamon, lime powder, chili powder for added flavor.
